“The challenges that come hand-in-hand with climate change, from food and human security to biodiversity and economic stability, are interconnected and complex,” said ACP Secretary-General Patrick Gomes. The ACP coalition represents some of the world’s most vulnerable nations, which bear the brunt of climate change’s far-reaching impacts. “Strengthening ties with the European Union, we believe, will amplify our efforts in combating this global concern,” added Gomes.
These collaborative discussions originated from a shared understanding of significant ongoing issues such as trade, migration, and peace prevention. Still, the prominent emphasis remains on mitigating the effects of climate change.
